2016: A Year in Review

This is always my favorite post to put together. I love going through the literally tens of thousands of photographs I took and finding little moments that I maybe missed before. I love seeing my favorite photos of the year all next to each other. Grab a blanket, some hot tea, and settle in.

Some memorable moments.......a cocktail hour that took place during the Kentucky Derby - all the guests crowded into a small room and watched the race on the tv. A wedding on a mountaintop with close friends, wine, and dancing in the open air. An outdoor June wedding that rained for 8 hours straight (I had to throw my shoes away after that one). An Indian reception with the most amazing colors. The sweetest bride who was more concerned about her bridesmaids tripping in their heels than herself. A rogue thunderstorm that delayed an outdoor reception by several hours. A little butterfly friend who hung out on my hand for half an hour during bridal portraits. The best dang glowstick reception I've ever been to. Driving to Colorado and shooting an engagement session at Great Sand Dunes National Park. A romantic wedding in front of a historic home and a reception in the woods with every detail beautifully thought out. A backyard garden wedding, and all those late October weddings that were 75 degrees and sunny.

To all my clients, thank you for a beautiful year!
