You seem to shoot all over Tennessee - where are you based? I live in Knoxville, but about half of my weddings each year are in Nashville. I have plenty of family and friends in Nashville, so I don’t charge for travel there. I also shoot in Chattanooga, Johnson City, and Asheville! Planning a destination wedding somewhere else in the US? I’m down for anywhere!
Do you offer engagement sessions? Yes! Engagement sessions are complimentary with every package. This is so that we can get to know each other BEFORE the wedding day and work out any kinks. I find that couples who opt for the engagement session have an easier time with their wedding day portraits because we’ve already “broken the ice” so to speak. Your wedding day photos will thank you!
What if I already had engagement photos done? I still recommend having a session with me so that you can get a feel for how I work. However - if you absolutely do not need an engagement session, you can swap it for one extra hour of wedding day coverage.
When will I get my photos back? Engagement sessions usually take about a week, while weddings can take anywhere from 4-6 weeks. You’ll have a preview within a couple of days!
How many photos do I get? There is no set number! There’s no motive for me to hold back great photos from you. I only delete the blurry, out of focus photos or the photos with people blinking and making unattractive faces. That being said, it all depends on how long I’m hired for and how much happens on the wedding day. Generally though, I deliver around 75-100 final images per hour of shooting. For an average 8 hour wedding day you can expect between 600-800 photos, sometimes more! Unedited or RAW photos are not released - you’re hiring a professional!
How will I receive the photos? I use an online gallery where you can download them straight to your computer. You can share the link with friends and family. This gallery is also where you can buy top quality prints that are true to color and won’t fade over time. If you’d rather print them yourself, you’ll get a print release as well!
What happens if you get sick on my wedding day and can’t make it? Have you ever missed a wedding? I take this job very seriously - I’m not calling out sick unless I’m on my deathbed. The only things that could prevent me from making it to a wedding are if I am in the hospital or I have an EXTREME family emergency. If either of these were to happen, I have a large network of photographers that I could call on at a moment’s notice to take over your day. You’ll still have a photographer on your wedding day and I will still edit the photos, so you’ll receive the same style of editing. Thankfully I’ve never even come close to missing a wedding!
Are you LGBTQ friendly? Absolutely! Though I’ve never shot a same sex wedding, it’s not by choice! I’d love the opportunity! The majority of my poses and prompts are gender-neutral.
Can we meet with you before booking? I don’t require it to book, but some couples feel more comfortable if they can chat with me before booking, and that’s totally fine! If you’re in the Knoxville area, we can certainly meet up for coffee (or margaritas, I’m not picky!). If you’re not in Knoxville, Skype or just the regular ol’ telephone will work too!
What’s required to book? To reserve your date, I require a signed contract and a 50% retainer. It’s all done online and the whole thing takes five minutes! Easy peasy. Once I have your contract and retainer, I turn away all other inquiries for your date!
